Piratpartiet I Din iPhone!

Safari Web-Browser: How To Backup Your Bookmarks

Safari Logo

There might be several reasons you might want to backup your bookmarks in Safari, first of course to back them up or move them to another Mac. Some steps in this tutorial might seem complicated at first, but trust me, it’s really simple.

  1. Open up finder and double click on the folder named “Library”
  2. Next, double click the folder named “Safari”
  3. Locate the file named “Bookmarks.plist” and copy it to your desired location.
Now that wasn’t so hard was it? :)

Safari 5 High Memory Usage

Hello World!
Safari Logo

As you probably know, the new Safari 5 has been released, and of course you have upgraded like i have. However I have noticed something really strange about that wasn’t in Safari 4 or 3, It can sometimes hang up, for quite a while. So I decided to check the Macintosh process manager to see if it was hoging the CPU, that’s what i thought, but no, IT HAD TAKEN UP FREAKIN’ 2.5 GB OF MEMORY!!

I really hope Apple will fix this bug or whatever it’s called, cause i really like Safari, it’s the only Mac web browser that I know of that runs 64-bit and it’s really fast to, fast browsing, fast booting.

My Thoughts On iPhone OS 4.0

When i came home from my vacation, i checked Wikipedia to see if the new iPhone OS 4.0 was released, and it was! So the first thing i did when i came home, i turned on my computer, plugged in my iPhone, and upgraded! It sure took a while, but it was worth it!

Although i can’t really agree with Apple that their multitasking solution really is multitasking, because the app is really just paused in the background, it’s not running like on a computer. As for all else, it’s great. I never really thought of the features they added, like threaded conversations in Mail or just the simple idea of folders.

What do think?
