Another well established scientific fact, turned into a new-age fable. Some over-simplified version of the Mass-Energy Equivalence opens a door for new ideas, related to our own existence. As the general idea goes: “Mass and Energy are two forms of the same entity. Therefore, death is not the end of existence. Since the mass of the corpse breaks down into energy, useful components that continue to nurture the earth”. All true and good, but this flawless logic cannot possibly apply to consciousness. As I’ve heard some new-age’rs claim. Continue reading

Divided, Rebuilt and Lost Forever
I have never been interested in mathematics, partly because of my failures in Practical Math class. In any case, I stumbled across a very simple and well established idea, that caused a Paradigm Shift in my way of thinking. I have yet to come up with a practical example, but I can however visualize similar concepts that are of the same nature. Dividing something, then adding the results, in an effort to rebuild. It rarely looks the same it once was, whatever IT may be. Continue reading
Genetic Variation in Origami Roosters Offspring
I was fully aware of the fact that Genetic Variation is essential for Natural Selection, in the process of Evolution. You would think, like I did, that this only implies to organic material. But reality proved otherwise, Origami Roosters are subject to Natural Selection as well.
Like Father, Like Son. Look nothing like each other. A new species perhaps?
Critically Creative
The two dimensional perception, in the vicious circle of critical creativity, just gained a few extra dimensions. When trying to, practically, combine two completely different and nearly independent parts of the brain. Left and Right, Critical and Creative. The judgmental, black and white decision making scheme, backfires with too much information for conclusions. Though the logical assumption would be the protruding critical thinking, if there is such a thing as Critically Creative. Continue reading
Perversion in Scientific Understanding
Religious highlights in history, the dark ages, has left their scar in our Scientific Understanding. Even though acceptance is more evident than ever, understanding of the scientific theories carries a dark shadow filled with fear of solitude. When the theories are fanatically interpreted to the point of Perversion, still valid in context, their importance decreases and blind faith gains acceptance. Continue reading
